It dominates the north side of the old town square. This Renaissance three-storey town hall is the best witness of the Pilsen prosperity in the early modern times. This jewel, considered to the most beautiful city halls in Bohemia, was built by the Italian architect Giovanni de Statia in the years 1554-1559. The turret was added to the building at the beginning of the 17th century. From 1907 to 1912, the City Hall was fixed and decorated with sgraffiti according to the design of architect Jan Koula. A relief model of the historical city centre is to be seen in the main hall of the City Hall.
